This piece is used by The Provost from one of the Oxford Colleges. Like most items, it displayed poor repairs, missing sections of timber and had a later baize covering on the desk top where a leather should have been. The woodwork repairs were carried out and a new leather fitted to the top. The College had a copy of a 19th sketch depicting The Warden at the time using it in his office.
