CFF is a family run business based near Brackley on the border of Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We have been trading for 23 years and have over 30 years’ experience in the fine furniture market. Beit, conservation, restoration or cabinet making.
Jamie Chatfield initially trained at Rycotewood College for 2 years as a cabinet maker and then progressed his training further by specialising in the conservation of fine furniture for a further 2 years. He was offered a position by the well established, Colin Piper Conservation based near Oxford where he remained for 9 years.
Eventually in 1999, Jamie set up his own company whilst also tutoring as a part time lecturer on the Post Graduate Diploma Course in conservation at West Dean College, West Sussex West Dean College of Arts and Conservation. He spent 3 years at West Dean before deciding to concentrate his full time efforts on his business, developing and expanding it further in to its current form.
CFF offer a very broad range of skills and services. We are able to undertake fine conservation and restoration work on all historic wooden objects but also make fine, bespoke furniture for both the home and garden – see some of our garden tables in ‘Case Studies’.
Our clients are diverse, ranging from institutions, privately owned historic houses, museums, antique dealers and collectors. We pride ourselves in offering the same level of skills, dedication and professionalism to all who employ our services.
